Drysdale

Project
Overview

This is a new building, the existing house was demolished, and a permit was obtained to build 11 single storey townhouses and garages, retaining walls throughout as the property has a 5m fall to the rear, all common driveways and a common bio-retention system for water purification and visitors’ carparks.
Project Scope
Property Details: This is a mixture of 2- & 3-bedroom single storey units with garages with a main bathroom and ensuite to all. All bathrooms with floor to ceiling tiling, timber vanities, stone benchtops and a standard builder’s range finishes throughout.
Special Features: The two-bedroom units were about 110 – 120 m/2 plus garages and rear decks with a laminate and timber veneer finishes and stone benchtops to kitchens and laundries, hybrid laminate flooring to all the living areas and carpet to bedrooms and WIR to master bedrooms.

The Project
Outcome

The 3-bedroom units were between 130 – 150m/2 plus double garages and rear decks, with laminate and timber veneer finishes and stone benchtops to kitchen and laundries, hybrid laminate flooring to all living areas and carpet to bedrooms with sliding mirrored robe doors and fully shelved including WIR to master bedrooms.

There were some challenges on this project due to a lot of earth works on this property as there is a lot of fall on the land so a lot of concrete sleeper retaining walls, very long concrete driveways, concrete stairs, 80,000 litre in-ground water tanks, 40,000 litre bio retention systems and rainwater tanks to each dwelling. This was my own project and due to covid costs did blow out a little on this project.
